UK: Canada House Trafalgar Square Protest was a success! The UK has the highest incidence of mesothelioma world-wide, and some of the many protesters’ whose loved ones died from mesothelioma ask how many more deaths are needed to stop this madness. For those of us outside of the London area, we thank you for leading this crusade on behalf the global community in mutual agreement that Canada must stop mining and exporting asbestos to Asia.
Thanks to International Ban Asbestos Secretariat (IBAS) and the Asbestos Victims’ Support Groups Forum for bringing together a coalition of forces for the London protest and for their excellent press release: “Blood in the Canadian Snow”. Our sincere thanks to Asbestos Victims’ Support Groups Forum Members for supporting the joint letter (40 organizations from 17 countries)
